Following the success of our Harry Potter Night and Orient Express Evening, we will be staging a spectacular Desperate Dan Cow Pie Night on Wednesday 29th Feb. And, what with this being a leap year an’all, it will most certainly see a feast served-up fit to win over any man’s heart!

Three amazing courses will be presented on platters on individually themed tables and there will be a great quiz with cartoon and comic rounds, as well as general knowledge and lots of prizes to be won, in between each course.

Places are limited and booking is essential.

Priced at just £40 per couple, it looks set to sell out quickly!

Regulars contribute to ‘make-over’ at historic village local

With many pubs closing each week, The Greets Inn at Warnham continues to buck the trend. The village pub is immersed in the community and has been at the heart of Warnham village life for generations of families, fortunate to be living nearby.
 
In the true spirit of supporting your ‘local’, a number of Greets Inn regulars recently joined together with owners, Natalie and Duncan Entwistle, to give the historic building a make-over fit for Christmas and New Year. Together, they painted the building throughout; installed new lighting, reworked the cosy ‘snug’ area and revamped the bar, all in an incredible 24 hours!
 
Duncan and all involved were amazed at what was achieved, commenting he said: “The enthusiastic support we received to assist with our make-over was just incredible and testimony to the high regard in which the Greets is held, in the village. We decided to see what could be achieved within 24 hours and the result is simply amazing, with many people commenting on the changes that have been made.”
 
Christmas lunches and dinners are now in full swing at The Greets, which will be staging a very special night of seasonal food and Christmas Carols, sung by the village church choir, on Wednesday December 21st. A three-course Christmas meal priced at just £10.95 can be enjoyed from 6pm on the night, with carols commencing at 8pm. There will also be a collection for The Greets chosen charity, the Dame Vera Lynn Trust for children with cerebral palsy. As you would imagine, booking is essential.
